HURRICANE RELIEF - If you are interested in donating to the relief efforts for Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael, here are two ways we would recommend:

1)    Place your donation in the church offering plate on Sunday made out to St. Stephen’s with ELCA Hurricane Relief in the memo line ... or...

2)    You can visit the ELCA’s webpage and donate directly using this link:

In addition to our donations, let us not forget to keep those affected in our prayers:

Loving God, we come to you trusting in your mercy and knowing that your steadfast love endures forever.  Look with mercy on those who were harmed or displaced by the flood waters, wind, and other effects of Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael.  Give them your strength to meet the days ahead, your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and renewed hope for restoration and rebuilding.  Move in those who are able to give aid, that we may be your hands and heart on earth.  Be with all who offer assistance; may your Spirit may uphold them.  As you have made water a sign of your kingdom, and of cleansing and rebirth, grant your people vision to see new life on the other side of disaster.  To you be given all honor and praise, through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. October Love Offering: Newberry College
Newberry College is 1 of 23 Lutheran (ELCA) colleges in the United States of America and the only Lutheran (ELCA) college in South Carolina. As members of the SC Synod of the ELCA it has been and will continue to be a part of our mission to support Newberry College both with our prayers and our treasures. St. Stephen’s has a special scholarship fund where moneys are awarded to members of our congregation who attend Newberry. For the month of October we encourage donations over and above your regular giving to be designated to Newberry College for the purposes of supporting the St. Stephen’s Koch Congregational Scholarship Fund.

Principle Payment Reduction Lunches are held once a month September – May. All proceeds go directly to retire the debt. Meals are ready for take-out or eat-in after the 8:30 & 11:00 services. Join your Church Council Members TODAY for: BBQ Ribs, Hash and Rice, Green Beans, Rolls, and Dessert. Come hungry, leave Happy and filled with the Holy Spirit!!

The Givelify App ' Giving Simplified
Don't keep cash or checks on you regularly? Looking for an easier way to make contributions for Wednesday Night Live meals, Debt Retirement lunches, general offering, building fund, monthly love projects, etc.?  After some hard work by the Stewardship and Finance committees and approval by our Church Council, we can now advertise that St. Stephen's can be found on the Givelify app!  You might be asking "What is Givelify?", or maybe you are totally sold and want to start using the app.

Below are two very helpful links!

Heres an introductory video for the Givelify App:
