Beth has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Education from Newberry College with graduate work in Elementary Education. She is a former school teacher and has a part of St. Stephen’s Preschool since 1998. Beth has worked with children from ages 2 to 18 practically all her life ... through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, day camps and through her chosen profession. Greetings from St. Stephen’s Preschool Ministry! If you have a child of preschool age (ages 12 months up to four years) we invite you to see what our church preschool ministry has to offer. Many of our staff are certified teachers and all are trained in infant and child first aid and CPR. Your child will learn so many new things! Our preschool follows the guidelines set forth by Lexington School District One that tells us what each child is expected to know upon entering kindergarten. They will have the opportunity to attend weekly chapel with Pastors Pat and Jason and Mrs. Shannon. In addition, four year olds will have a weekly foreign language lesson and all children will learn of the wonders of God’s world through stories, songs and puppets. Please see the attached schedule of classes. In addition to our regular 9am 12pm schedule, we also offer extended care for three and four year olds from 12-2pm where your child will also have the opportunity to attend enrichment classes, such as music, cooking, movement, science & foreign language. Registration for church members and those already enrolled begins Monday, January 23. Enrollment then opens to the community on Feb. 6 If you are interested in enrolling your child, you can download the registration form from our church webpage, attach your registration fee and leave at the preschool office or church office. You will receive a confirmation in the mail. Please note that class size is limited and classes fill quickly. Submitting your registration does not guarantee a position, but we will try our best to accommodate you and your family. Call the preschool office at 359-4369, or email to beth@sslc.org if you have any questions concerning classes. Sincerely, Beth Haggard |
