Greetings from St. Stephen’s Preschool Ministry!  If you have a child of preschool age (ages 12 months up to four years) we invite you to see what our church preschool ministry has to offer.  Our preschool follows the guidelines set forth by Lexington School District One that tells us what each child is expected to know upon entering kindergarten.  Registration for church members and those already enrolled begins Monday, January 24. This group gets priority enrollment until Monday, Feb. 7 when the registration process opens to the community.  If you are interested in enrolling your child, you can download  the registration form, attach your registration fee and leave at the preschool office or church office.  You will receive a confirmation in the mail.  *Please note that class size is limited and classes fill quickly.  Submitting your registration does not guarantee a position, but we will try our best to accommodate you and your family.  It is best to submit your form as early as possible. Parents Morning Out
Ages: 12-24 months
8:2 student/teacher ratio
Mon., Tues., Wed., & Thurs. (12-24 months) Choose 1,2,3 or all 4 days

Two Year Olds
6:1 student/ teacher ratio
2 day option (M/W or T/Th), 3 day option(MTW) or 4 day option (MTWTh)

Three-Year-Olds
12:2 student/teacher ratio
 3 day option(MTW) or 4 day option (MTWTh)

Four-Year-Old Class
12:2 student/teacher ratio
 4 day option (MTWTh)

Extended Care:

Extended Care classes meet from 12-2pm with a different extended care class held each Monday through Thursday.

Science Experiments/Spanish Exploration
The fall semester has children exploring the Spanish language through songs, stories and crafts. The children will have the opportunity to hear, practice and see Spanish language for vocablulary development. We will focus on greetings, colors, numbers, animals, family and body parts..

Bodies in Motion - meets Tuesday.
This class will explore movement and exercise in the gym with games, books and accessories, to include bean bags, hoops, balls, rhythm instruments and more. Musical games, yoga games, and traditional games are some of the activities planned. There will be plenty of running, jumping, skipping, and balancing to keep our bodies in motion.It’s

A Small World After All -Children will be exposed to countries from around the world as we explore language and culture from other countries.

Tots 'n Tunes - Class meets Thursday.
This class teaches self-confidence, rhythm and musical interpretation. It will consist of singing, dancing, musical instruments, creative movement and children's theatrics. Each month will be based on a particular theme and will have a well-known musical piece or song to study and learn. Props will be used and children will also make their own.

Chapel with one of St. Stephen’s pastors, is taught weekly.  The children are reminded of God’s love and grace through a short message, prayer, and song.

The majority of our teachers are board certified and all are trained in infant and child CPR and first aid.

Dear Parents of Preschoolers,

Greetings from St. Stephen’s Preschool Ministry!  If you have a child of preschool age (ages 12 months up to four years) we invite you to see what our church preschool ministry has to offer.  Many of our staff are certified teachers and all are trained in infant and child first aid and CPR.

Your child will learn so many new things!  Our preschool follows the guidelines set forth by Lexington School District One that tells us what each child is expected to know upon entering kindergarten.  They will have the opportunity to attend weekly chapel with Pastor Jason and Mrs. Shannon.  

Please see the attached schedule of classes.  In addition to our regular 9am – 12pm schedule, we also offer extended care for three and four year olds from 12-2pm.
